After an abysmal start to the week (more on that later), Oklahoma has received some big news out of the Under Armour All-American Game. Moments ago, 4-star OLB, Nik Bonitto out of St. Thomas Aquinas HS (Fort Lauderdale, FL).

This is a huge get for the Sooners, who made a significant push and ultimately closed Bonitto late in this class. The 4-Star OLB also hails from St. Thomas Aquinas HS which has produced some very talented and heavily recruited prospects over the past few years. Bonitto bolsters a talented but otherwise unproven group of edge rushers who is now without their star in Obo Okoronkwo.
Bonitto ranks as a composite 4-star recruit; 15th at his position and 218th overall. He becomes the Sooners 21st commitment in their 2018 class that moves up to 9th nationally and 2nd in the Big 12. Important to note that Bonitto has already signed with the Sooners so he is officially in.
